Principal's Message

A Word from the Administration...
Dr. Agnes W Ngure.
Senior Principal.

It is with great pleasure and a deep sense of pride that I welcome you to the official website of Sacred Heart Ng’araria Girls High School. As the team leader, I am honoured to lead this esteemed institution, a school committed to nurturing young women of knowledge, character, faith, confidence, and purpose.

At Sacred Heart Ng’araria Girls, we believe that education is more than the acquisition of academic knowledge. It is a transformative journey that equips every learner with the skills, values, attitudes, and competencies needed to navigate an ever-changing world. Guided by our motto, “Inspiring Excellence,” we strive to create an environment where every girl is challenged to discover her abilities, develop her talents, pursue her dreams, and become the very best version of herself.

Embracing Competency-Based Education

Our school is committed to the effective implementation of Competency-Based Education (CBE), an approach that places the learner at the centre of the educational experience. Through CBE, we seek to develop not only what our students know, but also what they are able to do with what they learn.

Our teaching and learning processes are designed to nurture key competencies such as communication and collaboration, critical thinking and problem-solving, creativity and imagination, self-efficacy, citizenship, digital literacy, and learning to learn. Our educators use learner-centred approaches that encourage students to ask questions, investigate, experiment, discuss ideas, work collaboratively, and apply knowledge to real-life situations.

We are continually integrating practical learning experiences, projects, research, technology, innovation, and problem-solving activities into our programmes. This enables our learners to connect classroom knowledge with the world around them while developing confidence, independence, responsibility, and a lifelong love for learning.

We also recognise that every learner is unique. Our commitment to CBE therefore extends to identifying, nurturing, and supporting individual talents and abilities. Through appropriate guidance and mentorship, we endeavour to provide opportunities for every girl to discover her strengths and pursue pathways that align with her interests, abilities, and aspirations.

Nurturing Talent Through Co-Curricular Activities

At Sacred Heart Ng’araria Girls, we understand that true education extends beyond the classroom. Our co-curricular activities provide learners with opportunities to discover their talents, build confidence, develop discipline, cultivate teamwork, and express themselves creatively.

Our students participate in a wide range of activities, including sports and games, music, drama, poetry, public speaking, debate, performing arts, clubs and societies, scouting and other leadership and talent-development activities. Through these platforms, our learners are encouraged to explore their interests, develop new skills, compete fairly, appreciate teamwork, and demonstrate their abilities at school, regional, and national levels.

These activities play an important role in developing well-rounded young women who are confident, creative, resilient, disciplined, and capable of working effectively with others.

Faith, Character and Christian Values

As a Catholic-sponsored institution, Sacred Heart Ng’araria Girls High School places strong emphasis on the development of good character and moral responsibility. We believe that academic excellence is most meaningful when it is accompanied by integrity, humility, compassion, discipline, respect, and a strong sense of responsibility towards others.

Our learners are encouraged to grow in their faith and to live according to Christian values that promote love, honesty, forgiveness, service, respect for human dignity, and care for others and the environment. Through Christian formation, prayer, spiritual guidance, mentorship, and positive role modelling, we endeavour to help our students develop a strong moral foundation that will guide them throughout their lives.

We believe in nurturing young women who are not only academically competent but also people of good character, strong values, faith, and purpose. Our Catholic identity inspires us to create a caring and inclusive community where every student is valued and encouraged to serve others and make a positive contribution to society.

A Community of Excellence

Our dedicated team of teachers and support staff works tirelessly to provide a safe, supportive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. We value the partnership between the school, parents, guardians, alumni, and the wider community, recognising that the education of a child is a shared responsibility.

We are proud of our history, our achievements, and the many students who have passed through our gates and gone on to make meaningful contributions in different spheres of society. As we look to the future, we remain committed to embracing innovation, strengthening our academic programmes, nurturing talent, and providing opportunities that prepare our learners for a rapidly changing world.

Our vision for every student is simple yet profound: to inspire her to dream boldly, learn purposefully, live with integrity, and serve with compassion.

I warmly invite you to explore our website and discover more about our academic programmes, CBE implementation, co-curricular activities, achievements, values, school community, and the opportunities available to our learners.

Whether you are a prospective student, parent, guardian, alumna, education partner, or visitor, we are delighted to share our story and our journey with you.
