Clubs and Societies
The Academic department work closely with clubs in the school. This is in the hope of broadening the scope of knowledge of our student. The clubs per department are as follows:
Scouts Movement
The Scouts Movement in sacred heart Ng’araria girls High School was started in the year 2005 by our principal, ……….and our ………….. The current patron is Mrs. Wainoga and ………. is the commander. Our role as scouts is to raise the flag, ensure that the school is clean, serve others, serve God and serve oneself. Recently, we have recruited new members, made sure that every scout has the scouts’ uniform, visited the chief and done communal work.
We look forward to be the best club both in our school and in our subcounty. We also plan to do more charity work by helping the needy. By joining the Scouts Movement, you join an international movement which focuses on the development of our world today by helping those in need.
Any student with the passion to serve can register with the patron or the commander to join the Scouts Movement.
Wild Life Club
The Wildlife Club ensures that the environment is healthy and conserved, that wild animals’ life and their habitat is free from dangers in cases of poaching, and plants trees to avoid soil erosion. We have managed to create awareness of the great economic, cultural and aesthetic value of natural resources. We now hope to develop a better understanding of the need to conserve natural resources for the benefit of the nation and its people. We encourage all students to join the club so that together we can spread interest and knowledge about wildlife and the environment among the youth of East Africa, Kenya in particular. Any student who is interested and willing to give her support to the world’s conservation is welcome to join the club by registering with any of the officials.
Red Cross Club
The Red Cross Club was formed to help those in need both in the school and in the society. Its current patron is ……. with ……… as the chairperson. Apart from contributing money to help the needy, we attend to those with injuries and come up with projects to benefit our school. We also keep our school environment clean by collecting litter and clearing bushes. We do all this through teamwork. We hope to recruit more students and educate them on our activities. We also hope to meet leaders of the national Kenya Red Cross Society and promote peace, love and harmony among ourselves, our school and our Red Cross Club Wildlife Club 32 Clubs & Societies
Music & Drama Festivals Group
The Music & Drama Festivals Group was formed to nurture the talents of students who are interested in music and drama. The group also represents the school in the Music & Drama Festivals Inter-School Competitions and has been doing fairly well for the past many years.
The group is coordinated by heads of departments. Apart from representing the school in competitions, we also entertain guests during functions. Last year (2023), we were able to go up to the regional level in the inter-school competitions. We are now working to get to the national level.
We also hope to nurture more learners who have talents in music and drama and follow up the gifted ones even after school to ensure their talents add value to their lives. All students who would like to develop their gifts in music and drama are encouraged to join the club by registering with the coordinators.
